Pai Gow Poker is an intriguing variant of the traditional Chinese Domino game, Pai Gow, but played with standard playing cards instead of dominoes. Also known as Double Hand Poker, it combines elements of 7-Card Stud Poker and the traditional domino game.

In Pai Gow Poker, players form two separate poker hands – a 5-card hand and a 2-card hand. To win, both of your hands must surpass the dealer's hands. If only one of your hands wins, it results in a push. And if both of your hands lose, you forfeit your bet.

How to Play:

1. A single deck consisting of 53 cards is used, including one joker alongside the usual 52 cards.
2. The joker serves as a semi-wild card. It can be used as an ace or to complete a straight, flush, straight flush, or royal flush.
3. The player can place an Ante bet and/or Fortune Bonus bets.
4. Both the player and the dealer are dealt seven cards. The dealer's cards remain face down, while the player examines their own.
5. The player must divide their seven cards into a five-card high hand and a two-card low hand. The high hand must have a higher poker value than the low hand.
6. The five-card hand is ranked according to standard poker rules. The only possible poker hand in the two-card hand is either a pair or no pair, with individual cards determining their value.
7. After the player has arranged their hand, the dealer's cards are revealed and divided in the same manner, following specific rules known as the "house way."
8. The two high hands and the two low hands are compared, with the hand with the higher poker value winning. In the event of a tie, such as both two-card hands being ace/king, the win goes to the "banker."
9. If the player wins both comparisons, they receive an even money payout. If they win one and lose one, it results in a push. If the player loses or ties both comparisons, they lose their wager.
10. "Fortune" is an optional side bet in Pai Gow Poker that pays based on the value of the player's seven cards. The arrangement of the hand does not affect this bet, and payouts are determined by the Fortune Bet payout table provided below.
